Having been shortlisted for the RNA Romantic Novel of the Year Awards in the rom com category I was whisked up to London for the Oscars for romantic books on Monday!
Mr Big had polished his shoes, got out his tuxedo and together we were Mr Reece and Finch about to become Persons of Interest!
It started with champagne at 4.45pm and then some more... and then some more and then... you're getting the picture?
I did managed to remain sober (relatively) for the official photo shoot!
L-R Front - Sophie Cousens (How to Get Ahead in Television) Alexandra Potter (Love from Paris)
L-R Back - Milly Johnson (Afternoon Tea At the Sunflower Cafe) Mandy Baggot (One Wish in Manhattan)
After that it was time to mingle with friends and... drink more champagne! YAY!

And the overall Novel of the Year went to the lovely Iona Grey for Letters to the Lost.
Although I didn't win I was really happy for my lovely friend Milly Johnson who writes incredible books and has promised she is keeping the trophy warm for me!
More champagne was consumed...
L-R Natalie Butlin (Bookouture), Kate Nash, Mandy Baggot, Jon Baggot (Mr Big)
Me and my almost award-winning book
And then it was time for bed... but not before 24 hour Travelodge pizza! I know how to party!
Thank you all so much for your continued support of me and my books. There's so much to come very soon and I'm really excited about my summer read this year!
