So, it's the day after the evening the Romantic Novelists' Association announced the shortlists for the Romantic Novel of the Year award and I am going to confess all... One Wish in Manhattan almost didn't get entered at all.
As most of you will know, digital publishing is fast and furious with tight deadlines and turn arounds and little room to spare. With One Wish in Manhattan's publishing date being 2 October and me flying out to Corfu on holiday on 1 October and not having a final typeset copy in my hands, I was torn. What did I do? Could I make the RNA deadline with something? I don't know why, but I just had a feeling about this Christmas story of mine. I just had to give it its chance, especially because it was the first year digital books were allowed to enter.
So I went for it! My editor sent me the latest Word version we had, I turned it into a PDF copy and I emailed and paid my entry fee blowing good luck kisses all over the envelope.
And look at me now! One of five vying for the title of Romantic Comedy of the Year.
I've attended the RoNAs before and it's a great evening. Last time I went, Richard and Judy were presenting the awards. This time it's Fern Britton. It's going to be a fantastic night full of fun with friends and plenty of celebrating whoever wins.
But today, more than anything, I am thanking the gods of free PDF software, because, without that, I wouldn't be in this fortunate position.

I am stupidly excited and looking forward to the awards night on 7th March! Bring on the fizzy!
A HUGE thank you for all your support and all the love there has been for this book! I appreciate every single share/tweet/book review or email telling me how much you enjoyed Hayley, Angel and Oliver's story!
I'm keeping everything crossed and stroking a rabbit's foot I can bring the prize home to Wiltshire! But, whatever happens, I am over the moon to have got this far!
Enough gushing... shall we have wine now?

It's February which means two things - pancakes and Valentine's Day!
Mr Big is a complete tosser... when it comes to pancakes... and he will be whipping some up for us all on Shrove Tuesday. For Valentine's weekend we have lovely friends coming over for a Greek feast. I have no idea what I'm cooking yet but it will be Greek and it will be easy... I hope... Doesn't anything taste OK with enough wine?
In book news I have just type 'the end' on my 12th novel and I hope to give you lots more news about that very soon!
Talking of news I have some HUGE news coming your way next week. I cannot say another thing... no don't try and tempt me... all I will say is it is VERY exciting and I can't wait to share it with you all!

It's a new year! Welcome to 2016!
I'm so excited for this year as I have so much planned! It's the year I turn the big 40 and I'm determind to push the boundaries and do many things I've always wanted to do in the next 12 months. I know you'll all be pleased to hear that my plans also include new books!
So have you made any resolutions yet? I have made just one and it's carrying on the theme of my novel, One Wish in Manhattan. When you're so busy you often miss the bigger picture. So I am going to try and not just fill the minutes but make every moment count. It's a big resolution and will take some work and a lot of tea and grumpets (giant crumpets if you've missed my numerous posts on Facebook about these delights!).
Again, thank you all for your support over 2015 and I really hope you'll continue following my antics and enjoy the new books I have in store for you!
If you're feeling a little low as we enter January then pep yourself up with my gorgeous, rough and ready bodyguard, Nathan Regan. Security is only 99p for a few more days on Kindle.
Share your resolutions with me in the comments section and maybe we can spur each other on to victory!

It's been a little while since I blogged! So I'm just here to catch you up with all the goings on since One Wish in Manhattan was released.
I had a wonderful holiday in Corfu! As well as having a little relaxation (in between launching a novel) I did a book signing. This took place at the wonderful new tearooms/restaurant, Lavender on Beach Road, Acharavi in Corfu. My friends Michelle, Lee and Melinda run this and I have to say the food is amazing! There were cream teas to rival the Ritz and we had a slap up meal there too which was gorgeous. Please go and visit if you're in Corfu. Here's the link to their Facebook page.
I sold loads of books and met some lovely people - some holidaymakers, some who live on the island, all intrigued about Truly Madly Greekly. I'm really hoping to go back again and sign a new book next summer!
Last week I also did a book event at Waterstones Salisbury. So many friends and family came to support me and one of my best booky friends, Sharon Goodwin did an amazing round up of the evening! Pop over and see for yourself!
One Wish in Manhattan is doing really well on Amazon. Today it reached its highest spot on Amazon UK and Amazon US - #56 UK and #2,094 US. This means I am in the #20 of holiday fiction in America which I am over the moon with.
Thank you to everyone who has bought the book and supported me. If you have enjoyed reading it a review on Amazon would be lovely! And if you haven't got your copy yet it's still only 99p/99c.
I'm currently writing up a storm to produce a new summer book for 2016 and I can't wait to share some info on it with you soon!

Today is a bit of a day in the House of Baggot. After YEARS of writing on my dressing table in my bedroom and working, eating, sleeping in one room of the house, I've finally got my very own office!
Mr Big helped me clear the spare room, managed to get a free sofa bed, a camping table and voila. This morning I wrote my first words of a brand new book in a brand new room.
It feels so much nicer having my own dedicated space that everyone will be banned from! And the view is over our garden and Sting's fields beyond. It's a beautiful piece of Wiltshire countryside that will hopefully be inspiring!
I'm a very happy writer!

For a long time now I've had a dream to visit Nashville. I've been a fan of country music since I was tiny when my Granddad used to play it to me. I dined out on Tammy Wynette, Dolly and Kenny, Merle and Roy (we got a signed cassette of them from Woolworths in Salisbury) and Patsy Cline. Then, as I grew, I developed a taste for 'new' country - Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Brantley Gilbert etc.
For the last three years Mr Big and I have been to the Country 2 Country festival at the O2 in London and had such amazing times. We're going again in March 2016 and I can't wait!
Me, Brantley Gilbert and Mr Big
But the big news is my dream is going to come true and it's thanks to you! Since I joined Bookouture the sales of all my books have increased A LOT. Those sales have enabled me to book a week in Nashville with Mr Big in April 2016. I am so excited I might combust before then! So I want to thank you all - everyone that's bought my books or shared my tweets and Facebook posts - I wouldn't be celebrating turning 40 next year this way if it wasn't for you! And I promise, this trip is going to give me so much inspiration for future books. There will be notepads being filled and photos taken in the name of research. And obviously I'll have to sample all the local food and beer to get the whole 360 experience!
I'm also a massive fan of the TV show Nashville and I'm hoping to sit on Deacon's front porch and hope Charles Esten rocks up or Sam Palladio or Jonathan Jackson, I'm not fussy!
So the bright lights of Broadway are beckoning and I'm so ready! I promise to share photos and dodgy karaoke videos on social media because, if I could I would take you all with me!
